One of the most anticipated match in Italy comes to end with an emphatic results for AC Milan as they thrashed Inter by 3-0! This results increase their points gap to 5-points! And now AC Milan have taken two steps ahead for winning the Serie A title!
Pato helped Milan take an early lead in arounf the first minute when Alexandre Pato hit a right footed shot from the centre of the box to the bottom right corner which was assisted by Robinho. This was a great morale boosting goal for the Milan and after that they lead series of attack into the opponent’s goal but Inter came up to the level and took control and from then on till the end of 1st half, both teams played on equal level. Just before the first half, Eto missed an incredible chance to equalize, all he needed was a better controlled finish from the former Catalan player!
After the 2nd half started, typical Italian game started which consisted of some fouls and cards! Chivu got the red card at 54th minute and was sent-off now Inter were down to 10-men team. But at the 62nd minute, Pato scored another goal which tool the lead to 2-0! He headed the ball from very close range to the bottom left corner. This goal destroyed all the hopes of the Inter and there was no way they were gonna come back to the game! At 90th minute, AC Milan got the penalty due to Zennatti’s challenge who was booked immediately and Antonio Cassano converted the penalty with a right footed shot to the centre of the goal. Minutes after that Cassano was also booked two times and sent off after the second yellow card was shown! But it was too late for Inter to take advantage of that and the final whistle blew!
Inter now need to focus on their game and forget this defeat if they want to get back to the title race!

This weekend all eyes on the biggest game of Serie A, AC Milan vs Inter Milan. With so much anticipation, this match will no doubt be the most entertaining match in the Italy! This match is very important for both the teams as given the teams position in the table, this match will be regarded as the 'title decider' and this match's winner will be a step closer for winning the title! And obviously Milan will be two-steps ahead to win the title as they already posses two-points lead on their fierce rivals, Inter! Both teams are playing not only for the bragging rights, but for the Scudetto as well! Meanwhile Inter striker Samuel Eto’o, the Serie A’s leading goalscorer this season with 19, does not expect the match to decide the title race.
The pressure will certainly be on AC Milan, who will be hunting for their first Scudetto since 2004, which Inter Milan will feel confident in their chances, given their last four successes in the Italian championship.
AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been ruled out this crunch clash but Alexandre Pato should be fit to start. Meanwhile, Inter defender Cristian Chivu has recovered from a calf injury and should play against league leaders Milan. Chivu had been in doubt after injuring his leg during Romania’s training camp ahead of the Euro 2012 qualifier against Bosnia last Friday.

Serie A happened to take an interesting twist this weekend after Milan lost to Udinese 1-0! And meanwhile Inter won their match against Lecce 1-0! Fate of both teams was decided by a single goal in their respective matches, only it was against Milan and in favor of Inter as the points difference b/w these two teams now is 2-points! This brings Inter back to title race and pouring all the pressure on Milan.
Milan fell down to a 1-0 at the start of the game as Goian scored the goal in 10th minute and since then Milan regardless of getting some chances, could not chase that! Italian table leaders were playing without Ibra and Robinho at the start, but at around the hour mark, the manager decided to bring Robinho into the game and he took Pato off! But that went in vain as at the end of the match, the final score still was 1-0!
On the other hand, Inter started their match with their most powerful line up and the match went with many bookings, total six bookings, 3 for each side! But along with that, Inter were able to break the dead lock at around 50th minute, thanks to Pazzini for his good goal and it was enough for them to earn 3- straight points!
Milan who is already dumped out of the Champions League will not want to slip their hands from this silverware as well so they need to work hard for the next fixtures and really take advantage of Inter busy schedule as Inter are still the contenders for UEFA trophy!

Well folks, it's that time of the year again where teams gear up for the final stretch of their domestic season while also fighting for European glory. With the African cup of Nations taking place in a World Cup year, fixtures around Europe suffered massive changes in order to accommodate all teams. As a result, I've been pretty much unable to follow league games as I did in the beginning of the season. But the Champions League is back, still sticking to the Tuesday/Wednesday combo, so that should be enough for now.
This week, we had the first half of the round of 16's first leg with 8 teams in action which delivered enough drama to make our anticipation of the second half even more palatable. Out of the four games, I only watched two (Manchester United – AC Milan and Arsenal – Porto). Here are my thoughts along with some video highlights

Lack of time has prevented me from keeping up with Serie A. But then again, when Inter is sitting comfortably at the top and you know that they're going to win it once again, it's not that hard to drop off from that league. Anyways, here are the results from last weekend.

The Champions League group stage concluded this week and Juventus was the second giant to fall out of the competition after Liverpool. In Group F, Barcelona and Inter both clinched their qualification on Wednesday while Real Madrid and AC Milan did the same on Tuesday. Read on for the full results.

After being undefeated in October, AC Milan is back in the title race seven points behind Inter who drew 1-1 against Roma on Sunday. Between the two Milan clubs, Juventus is firing on all cylinders thanks to a 5-2 victory over Atalanta. Sampdoria dropped out of the top three with only one win in their last five games and you have to wonder if they'll run out of gas in the second half of the season. The Full results follow.

Several teams booked their tickets to the next round this week but two superpowers now have their backs to the wall as the end of the group stage draws near.

Apologies for not posting the Week 10 results last week. The midweek fixtures kinda caught me by surprise and I didn't have time to make a post. Anyways, we have now reached the eleventh week in the Calcio and Inter Milan already look like they will once again run away with the title. After some difficulties early in the season, AC Milan have bounced back and are now sitting in fourth place, two points behind Juventus and Sampdoria. Here are last weekend's results.
Juventus – Napoli: 2-3 [ Click here to read more ]
Another week, another win for Inter and Sampdoria. Juventus and Milan joined the parade by adding three points to their total as well. Here are the full results.
Sampdoria – Bologna: 4-1 [ Click here to read more ]
It was an interesting round of the Champions League this week as several results went against most experts' predictions. Several teams who were expected to be punching bags in their respective groups are surprisingly pulling great results out of thin air, making some groups' outcome difficult to judge even after three games.

Juventus are slowly losing gas as the season progresses. Their draw against Fiorentina on Saturday dropped them off four points behind Inter Milan who exploded offensively against Genoa. AC Milan are back in the Top 10 thanks to their third win of the season coming against a struggling AS Roma. The full results follow.
Juventus – Fiorentina: 1-1 [ Click here to read more ]
What was bound to happen finally happened. Since the beginning of the season, Juventus players looked out of shape, many of them not fully at 100% but they still managed to win games. This weekend, they suffered their first loss of the season against Udinese which slides them out in third place while Inter Milan take the number one spot in the standings. As Inter is looking to dominate the Serie A like last year, their city rivals, AC Milan, are in a downward spiral with no end in sight. With only two goals scored in their last five games, the Rossoneri have been relying on draws to keep their head above water. They'll have no choice but to explore the transfer market during the winter if they want to improve.
Bari – Catania: 0-0 [ Click here to read more ]
