Rooney charged by FA!

April 4th 2011 17:33

Man Utd recent hat-trick scorer has been charged by the FA board for his abusive language and misconduct during the celebration of his hat-trick in the match against West Ham! And due to that, the English striker will face a two match ban due to his actions! FA statement read:

"The FA has charged Manchester United's Wayne Rooney for the use of offensive, insulting and/or abusive language. This charge relates to an incident during his side's fixture with West Ham United at the Boleyn Ground on Saturday April 2, 2011. Rooney has until 6pm on April 5 to respond to the charge."

A one-match ban would rule Rooney out of Saturday's home game with Fulham, with a two-match suspension sidelining him for the following weekend's Manchester derby FA Cup semi-final at Wembley. Sanctioning a player for swearing into a camera is understood to be unprecedented in English football.
Although Rooney's hat-trick brought Man Utd back to the game and helped them achieve a crucial win over West Ham which further helped Red Devils to extend their lead to 7-points over Arsenal! But, after completing his treble, the striker uttered an audible expletive into a television camera as he celebrated, and it did not impressed the FA Disciplinary Body!
It is not the first time he performed this type of actions, he also upset-ed England fans during last summer's World Cup when he turned to a television camera and verbally criticised them at the end of the dismal goalless draw with Algeria.

Another setback for the Gunners as they were unable to win this week’s league game against Blackburn and thus they are now 7-points behind the table leaders Man Utd who won their match against West Ham by turning the game in their favor and winning by 4-2!

Arsenal was playing with the absence of their star player and an injury prone Febregas but he was called into the game after the hour mark! Arsenal controlled the game well with a lot of possession and some chances but somehow they were unable to place the ball in the Blackburn’s goal! Although the stakes went high for their win when at 76th minute, Steven got a red card and was sent out immediately! But still than, Gunners were unable to take advantage of that opportunity and Wenger will be very furious with this result as this title race was his only hope for survival, but now they have made it difficult for themselves to win the title! Final Score: 0-0

Meanwhile Man Utd really showed their quality when they went down to two goals in the first half and both goals came from Noble at the penalties! But somehow the half time talk of Sir Alex really gave Man Utd the confidence and they came right back into the game when Rooney scored the hat-trick and the score went to 3-2! Then at the ending stages of the match, Hernandez, a young emerging talent showed his potention by an incredible goal in the end which not only extended the lead in the game but also increased the lead over Arsenal to 7-the table! Final Score: Man Utd 4 - West Ham 2
Arsenal do have a game in hand but still they need to work a lot if they want to win the title as this season their form have gone from good to worse and the pressure is on the Gunners!!

Man Utd facing Financial Loss

March 22nd 2011 16:04

The Glazers Family, Man Utd owners, have admitted that the Red Devils faced a huge financial loss last season. The loss came in at a staggering £108.9 million! The lack of income from selling players also contributed to the loss for the year ending June 30, 2010 - the previous year the company had recorded £21million profit thanks largely to the £80million sale of Cristiano Ronaldo. Last year's losses also included £30.2million interest on their £220million payment in kind (PIK) loans which have since been paid off.
The highest loss recorded by a Premier League club was Chelsea's £132million in 2005

Man Utd increased its lead!

March 20th 2011 09:44

After having a miserable season, Gunners misery have increased after they drew 2-2 with W.B.A in an thrilling encounter! They held Arsenal to a draw and in return Arsenal were only able to get a single point from the game. Meanwhile Man Utd won their match against Bolton 1-0. They clinched a victory at 88th minute when Berbatov guided the ball to the back of the net and it was enough for the 10-Men Red Devils team as they got 3-points flat from the game and they have increased the gap with Arsenal to 5-points! United were reduced to 10 men on 76 minutes when Jonny Evans saw red for an ugly lunge on Bolton's Stuart Holden. Stuart was taken to hospital straight away after that deadly tackle.
Arsenal actually saved themselves from losing as they were 2 goals down till 70th minute when Arshavin scored the first goal for the Gunners and brought them back to the game and as a result after 8 minutes Van Persie struck an equalizer for the Gunners

Ferguson Banned for 5-Matches!

March 17th 2011 13:02

Ferguson have to pay the price for his missconduct by remaining absent from the sideline for 5 matches and £30,000 fine! The Manchester United manager learned of his punishment for comments made about referee Martin Atkinson following United's 2-1 defeat at Chelsea. And now he is equally furious about that decision. Beacuse of this decision, along with the fine, he will have to make his assistant incharge on the sideline for more than month! This will also include the semi-final with Manchester City! This will be a problem for the Red Devils as they are already facing the absence of many players due to injury! Sir alex is yet to decide that whether he should appeal against that ban or not!
Manchester United is playing a very good season as they are leading the Table in premier League, also they have qualified for the quarter finals of UEFA Cup, and they are in semis in FA Cup! So they just need to set their goals right and then its all glory for them this season!

EPL Week 16 Results

December 16th 2009 21:51
It was draws galore last weekend in the Premiership as five games ended in draws. Manchester United missed the opportunity to catch up with Chelsea after the Blues were held to a 3-3 draw as United was defeated by Aston Villa. Arsenal jumped back in the title race by beating Liverpool at Anfield and at this point you have to wonder how much longer Benitez will stay in charge of the sinking club. Tottenham also lost at home to promoted-side Wolves. All in all, not a good weekend for the big guns who will try to make up for it in midweek.

Stoke City – Wigan: 2-2

EPL Week 11 Results

November 3rd 2009 02:10
At the beginning of the season, many pundits predicted a three-way fight between Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool for the title while Arsenal would slip out of the "Big Four." Well after eleven games, it's Liverpool who find themselves on the outside looking in due to a string of irregular performances. Indeed, after topping Manchester United 2-0 last week, the Reds fell 3-1 against Fulham this week in a game where both Carragher and Degen were sent off. Meanwhile Arsenal trounced "Big Four" contender Tottenham with a 3-0 win that puts the Gunners in third place with a game in hand. In other games, Manchester United bounced back from last week's defeat with a 2-0 win against Blackburn while Chelsea thrashed Bolton 4-0 with another flawless performance. The full results follow.

Arsenal – Tottenham: 3-0
