In the busiest weekend of the season so far, all MLS games took place on Saturday. The Sounders were dealt their first loss of the season, leaving Chivas USA alone at the top of the Western conference. Funnily enough, the two scoreless games were the only ones for which I could find some video. Sorry for that.

FC Dallas – Toronto FC: 1-1

Chicago Fire – San Jose Earthquakes: 3-3

DC United – Real Salt Lake: 1-2

Colorado Rapids – Columbus Crew: 1-1

New York Red Bulls – Houston Dynamo: 0-0

Kansas City Wizards – Seattle Sounders: 1-0

Chivas USA – Los Angeles Galaxy: 0-0

By defeating Columbus on Sunday, Chivas are the second club to stay perfect after three weeks right behind the impressive Seattle Sounders.

Columbus Crew – Real Salt Lake: 1-4

While European clubs are gearing up for the final stretch, the MLS season got under way with league newcomers Seattle Sounders surprising the New York Red Bulls with a 3-0 victory. Since I'm still covering European leagues, I wasn't able to watch any MLS games last weekend but I will do my best in the coming weeks. I will specifically try to cover the following teams: Toronto FC, Chicago Fire, Seattle Sounders and Los Angeles Galaxy. With the NHL playoffs coming up, I'm not quite sure how I will schedule all of it yet, so I'll post the full results weekly even if there are no recaps just so you guys can keep up. Without further ado, here are the results for Week 1 along with video highlights.

New York Red Bull – Seattle Sounders: 0-3
