EPL Week 4 Results & Fantasy News
August 31st 2009 19:28
There were lots of good games over the weekend in the Premiership. First, Chelsea cruised to victory against an impressive Burnley side that's surprising everyone so far this season. Liverpool took the difficult approach to their three points by having to fight back from behind against Bolton until Gerrard finally put them ahead in the final minutes. Manchester United had some luck on their side as their first meeting against Arsenal was decided on Abou Diaby's own-goal despite the Gunners' domination. Finally, Everton got their first points of the season thanks to a stoppage-time penalty against a stubborn Wigan side. Full results follow (along with the weekly video special).

Fantasy News
I may not make the Top 100, but I'm slowly getting the hang of this fantasy stuff. Stoke City's Sorensen is proving to be a reliable goalkeeper in these early weeks while my defense is a lot better after Ashley Cole and Glen Johnson's performances over the weekend. In midfield, only Gerrard got me a decent haul of points so I still have to tweak this part of my squad. Finally, in front Rooney and Drogba did good work once again. Barring injury, I'm starting to think that these two will stay in my line-up for the duration of the season

Blackburn – West Ham United: 0-0
Bolton – Liverpool: 2-3
