Current European Champions, Inter will face Schalke 04 in the Quarter final phase of Champios League! Inter had a miserable week as they lost to their fierce rivals, AC Milan by 3-0. This defeat not only shattered their confidence but also took they a step backwards for the title! They are now 5-points behind the leaders AC Milan. They will definately want to forget this defeat before their Champions League match! But Inter still have plenty of reason to feel confident in Europe, after their spirited come-from-behind 3-2 win at Bayern Munich that sealed their progression to the quarter-finals.
Whereas, German side Schalke, who have performed poorly in the Bundesliga this season but still bundled out Spanish club Valencia 4-2 on aggregate in the round-of-16.Mixed form at league level has seen Schalke fall to 11th on the German table, one year after finishing runners-up behind Bayern Munich, prompting the unexpected sacking of manager Felix Magath last month.Tuesday’s trip to the San Siro will be a stern test for new boss Ralf Rangnick, who has never before coached in the Champions League knockout stages.
Schalke 04 may have to make a trip without a number of players on Tuesday, notably defender Christoph Metzelder, who broke his nose against St Pauli on Friday. Mario Gavranovic (ankle) and Peer Kluge (abdomen) also picked up injuries in Friday’s league match, which was abandoned with Schalke leading 2-0 after the assistant referee was hit by a cup of beer thrown from the stands. Inter’s biggest absence looks to be Brazilian defender Lucio, who will sit out the match due to suspension and is expected to be replaced by Colombian Ivan Cordoba.
1st leg will be playe at San Siro so Inter have a real chance of gaining earlier lead, so that they could make the trip to Germany for the return leg with some handy goals in hand! But off course they have to defend giving away goals as well to Schalke or their European trip might also be over!
There is only one manager in the world who achieved a record that no manager can ever achieve! Streak of 168 unbeaten home league wins! And the only manager to achieve that is Jose Mourinho, 'The Special One'!
But last night this record came to an end by the club who is fighting to keep itself above the relegation zone, Sporting Gijon! And a remarkable achievement for any manager to have and that only manager is Mourinho!
Lets take a look at the stats which achieved him to achieve this emphatic record!
2004/05 Chelsea
Premier League: 14 wins, 5 draws, Champions League: 4 wins, 2 draws, FA Cup: 2 wins, League Cup: 1 win, 1 draw.

2006/07 Chelsea
Premier League: 12 wins, 7 draws, Champions League: 5 wins, 1 draw, FA Cup: 3 wins, 1 draw, League Cup: 2 wins.

That is a record that most managers can only dream of, yet the Special One can lay claim to this feat. In this time, Mourinho has also landed two Premier League titles, two English League Cups, an FA Cup, two Serie A titles, a Coppa Italia and a Champions League trophy.

One of the most anticipated match in Italy comes to end with an emphatic results for AC Milan as they thrashed Inter by 3-0! This results increase their points gap to 5-points! And now AC Milan have taken two steps ahead for winning the Serie A title!
Pato helped Milan take an early lead in arounf the first minute when Alexandre Pato hit a right footed shot from the centre of the box to the bottom right corner which was assisted by Robinho. This was a great morale boosting goal for the Milan and after that they lead series of attack into the opponent’s goal but Inter came up to the level and took control and from then on till the end of 1st half, both teams played on equal level. Just before the first half, Eto missed an incredible chance to equalize, all he needed was a better controlled finish from the former Catalan player!
After the 2nd half started, typical Italian game started which consisted of some fouls and cards! Chivu got the red card at 54th minute and was sent-off now Inter were down to 10-men team. But at the 62nd minute, Pato scored another goal which tool the lead to 2-0! He headed the ball from very close range to the bottom left corner. This goal destroyed all the hopes of the Inter and there was no way they were gonna come back to the game! At 90th minute, AC Milan got the penalty due to Zennatti’s challenge who was booked immediately and Antonio Cassano converted the penalty with a right footed shot to the centre of the goal. Minutes after that Cassano was also booked two times and sent off after the second yellow card was shown! But it was too late for Inter to take advantage of that and the final whistle blew!
Inter now need to focus on their game and forget this defeat if they want to get back to the title race!

Serie A happened to take an interesting twist this weekend after Milan lost to Udinese 1-0! And meanwhile Inter won their match against Lecce 1-0! Fate of both teams was decided by a single goal in their respective matches, only it was against Milan and in favor of Inter as the points difference b/w these two teams now is 2-points! Milan fell down to a 1-0 at the start of the game as Goian scored the goal in 10th minute and since then Milan regardless of getting some chances, could not chase that! Italian table leaders were playing without Ibra and Robinho at the start, but at around the hour mark, the manager decided to bring Robinho into the game and he took Pato off! UEFA announced the draws for the Champions League quarter-finals today and most debatable match of these fixtures will be off course of Chelsea vs Man Utd! It will be the rematch of Champions League final in Moscow three years ago where Man Utd defeated Chelsea in penalties! Chelsea have never had the European glory and the closest they came was that final where Man Utd clinched the win due to the very last penalty where Terry slipped and was unsuccessful to convert it into goal and it cost Chelsea their first ever UEFA Cup! So this time around they will definitely look to avenge Man Utd for that! But given the current run of the both clubs in this season, Chelsea will have to increase their form and really need to turn the tables cuz Man Utd is in terrific form right now!
Meanwhile, spurs are handed over the nine-time UEFA winners, Madrid, for the quarter-final! It will be a very hard job for them through them and given the current level of Madrid, Redknapp really need to apply his tactic correct and wise and beat Mourinho's Lads! Real Madrid have passed to quarter-final after around six years and this time they want to go all the way to the final
