There is only one manager in the world who achieved a record that no manager can ever achieve! Streak of 168 unbeaten home league wins! And the only manager to achieve that is Jose Mourinho, 'The Special One'!
But last night this record came to an end by the club who is fighting to keep itself above the relegation zone, Sporting Gijon! And a remarkable achievement for any manager to have and that only manager is Mourinho!

Lets take a look at the stats which achieved him to achieve this emphatic record!

2004/05 Chelsea
Premier League: 14 wins, 5 draws, Champions League: 4 wins, 2 draws, FA Cup: 2 wins, League Cup: 1 win, 1 draw.

2005/06 Chelsea
Premier League: 18 wins, 1 draw, Champions League: 2 wins, 1 draw, 1 loss, FA Cup: 4 wins, League Cup: 1 draw.

2006/07 Chelsea
Premier League: 12 wins, 7 draws, Champions League: 5 wins, 1 draw, FA Cup: 3 wins, 1 draw, League Cup: 2 wins.

2007/08 Chelsea
Premier League: 2 wins, 1 draw, Champions League: 1 draw.

2008/09 Inter Milan
Serie A: 14 wins, 5 draws, Champions League: 2 wins, 2 draws, Coppa Italia: 3 wins.

2009/10 Inter Milan
Serie A: 15 wins, 4 draws, Champions League: 4 wins, 2 draws, Coppa Italia: 3 wins.

2010/11 Real Madrid (till Saturday's loss to Sporting Gijon)
La Liga: 14 wins, Champions League: 4 wins, Copa del Rey: 4 wins.

From his first game at Chelsea right up to the most recent match against Sporting Gijon, Mourinho has lost once in 168 home games. That is a record that most managers can only dream of, yet the Special One can lay claim to this feat. In this time, Mourinho has also landed two Premier League titles, two English League Cups, an FA Cup, two Serie A titles, a Coppa Italia and a Champions League trophy.

La Liga Turn-out!

April 2nd 2011 22:50
Another twist in La Liga as Barca gained 8-points lead over their fierce rivals, Madrid after they defeated Villareal with a narrow win of 1-0! Meanwhile Madrid lost their match shockingly to Sporting 1-0! And not only that, Mourinho’s record of undefeated home league game which he held for 9 years came to an end with this defeat! This is a big setback for the Madrid as they wanted to clinch this title from Barca who are heading to their 3rd consecutive La Liga title! Madrid were without Benzema, Ronaldo. However Higuain started this match after a long time due to his recovery from 5-months long injury! Heat really turned on when at 79th minute, De Las broke scored the first goal of the match and gave Sporting the lead! After that Madrid really fought hard in last 8-10 minutes but were unable to get a goal!

On the other hand Barca started without Messi n Xavi and they had a difficult 1st half as Villareal kept attacking Barca. Somehow Barca managed to escape from those attacks most of the times due to excellent keeping of Valdes! Barca lacked their original style of playing soccer and were playing out of order! Prep found it necessary to call Messi thus then he subbed him with Seydou Keita at 53rd minute! It was until 66th minute when Barca broke the dead lock and scored the first goal, thanks to Pique whose right footed shot from very close range to the top left corner gave Catalans the lead! After that the match progressed with normal pace and Barca, as usual, had most of the ball possession!

These results move Barca ahead with the points difference of 8-points with their fierce rivals, Madrid!

This was a remarkable achievement and it ranked Prep as one of the best managers in the history of football! In just over two-and-a-half seasons he has won eight trophies as manager the Catalan club. The 2008/09 campaign brought a record six titles. Last season, he led Barca to a second-straight La Liga title with 99 points. NEWS have flourished that Real Madrid have banned the Shakira's songs to play at Bernabeu, and yet they have not released any statement telling the reason for their decision! Reports in the Spanish dailies Marca and AS claim that no songs from the Colombian musician will be played at the ground prior to matches.
No explanation has been given by Madrid but there are suspicions in the Spanish media that this situation has arisen because of Shakira’s relationship with Barcelona defender Gerard Pique. Their romantic relationship has now been made public with photos of the couple making the rounds in the media.
Shakira, though, is a self-confessed Madrid fan and was presented with the number 5 shirt by Florentino Perez during his first tenure as president of the nine-time European champions

La Liga matches postponed!

March 24th 2011 09:15

This weekend fixtures have been delayed due to the on-going dispute over television revenue. These games will now be played on 12 June three weeks after the league was supposed to end! Spanish clubs have demanded that a law which required at least one game a week to be broadcast on terrestrial free-to-air television be revoked. The stoppage will affect both the Primera Division and the Segunda Division, although not all clubs support the move and reports in Spain on Wednesday night said there may be further legal moves by clubs who want to play. Six clubs, Sevilla, Villarreal, Athletic Bilbao, Real Sociedad, Espanyol and Zaragoza, have asked a court in Madrid to order the games to go ahead.

Ronaldo will be fit for Spurs

March 23rd 2011 15:59

Mourinho expects C. Ronaldo to be fit for their UEFA Champions League match against Spurs! As he quoted:
I think he will be able to play against Tottenham. We don't have a game this weekend and that will allow him to recover. I don't think he can play against Sporting Gijon (in the league), if he can, I won't risk it because I want him fit for the Champions League match. We hope he is back to his top level against Tottenham.

Looks like that The special one is tired from the job at Bernebau and he wants to return to his own kingdom, England! Although many will protest with that statement as he creates his own kingdom not only in England but where ever he manages any club, whether its in Portugal or in England or in Italy and as currently, in Spain! Thats the reason that he got to be called 'The Special One'!

Jose Mourinho achieved something which no manager can achieve, winning a Champions League with a club like FC Porto, and leaving a stunned expression on other teams....then he made Chelsea one of the strongest team, and it is that effect Mourinho effect which made Chelsea one of the best club in the world! And then after that winning a treble with Inter! What else this manager needs to add to his history he already is a man full of glory

La Liga Week 12 Results

December 2nd 2009 18:30
The big talk in La Liga last weekend was the first “clasico” of the season. After the humiliating 6-2 defeat from last season, Real Madrid had a great motive for revenge. However, despite playing well, the merengues couldn't solve Victor Valdes and – most notably – Carles Puyol who had a terrific game in defense, blocking several goal-bound shots with timely tackles. At the other end, Barcelona only needed one true opportunity to put the ball past Casillas. Indeed, five minutes after stepping onto the pitch, Zlatan Ibrahimovic gave the winning goal to the blaugrana with a scrumptious volley on Dani Alves' first successful cross of the game.

Hope was restored for the Galacticos when Sergio Busquet was sent off after his second yellow card but Barcelona continued to play as if nothing had changed. Pellegrini's decision to sacrifice a defender for another forward prompted Guardiola to enter Yaya Toure in the heart of the midfield but in the end, the change didn't seem to matter much as Lassana Diarra was also sent off for a second yellow card
