Man Utd vs Arsenal (Match result)

March 12th 2011 20:35
Another shocking result from the Gunners point of view as they are dumped out of the FA Cup and one last hope of winning any silverware this season and to end their trophy drought have being washed due to the excellence of the Red Devils! Man Utd defeated Arsenal by 2-0! The goals came in by Fabio in the 28th minute, and then Rooney put his name on the score sheet in 49th minute. Van der Sar producing four outstanding saves to deny the visitors their chances for scoring the goals. Valencia made his first appearance after he got injured in September. Brazilian twins Fabio and Rafael really showed some good performance and produced many attacks along with doing a good job at defending! And due to that Fabio scored the opener in the first half that really gave the confidence to the Reds! And at the start of second half, Rooney's header produced another goal which was a killer for the Gunners and totally silenced their game!

This match was very exciting and entertaining, and equally joyful for the Man Utd fans! These two goals were enough for Man U to dump Arsenal out of the competition, and leave Wenger another disappointed season, along with last 6-7 years! But it is maybe too early to say that, one chance left for Wenger is Premier League, where they occupy 2nd place, 3points below the table leaders, Man Utd. And due to the fact that Man Utd have difficult several fixtures to play in next few weeks, Arsenal can take that chance and occupy thier place and finally add some trophy to their trophy cabinet! Although crisis are for both the managers, as Sir Alex Ferguson and Wenger are both facing the wrath of a governing body for comments about match officials that went beyond acceptable levels.

Here's the thing about my favorite team, they are chokers. They always fall apart on the big stage, and I think that's because they don't really have a true leader. Fabregas doesn't give a crap about his team. He would bail out for Barcelona given the chance. He tried to last year. They need a true leader like what they had with Patrick Viera, Ashley Cole, and Thierry Henry back in the day. You can see this team is extremely creative, but they don't have one guy that can rigidly direct everything and who acts like a leader.
